Stephanie is the Owner and Artistic Director of TDC which was founded in 2003. She graduated from UVU on a dance scholarship then went on to graduate from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Education with a Minor in Health. During her college career, she was a member of UVU Synergy Modern Company, UVU Dance Team, and BYU Dancensemble. She was awarded Miss Pleasant Grove in 1998 and was given the opportunity to teach dance throughout the elementary schools in PG incorporating school curriculum. She grew up dancing in Pleasant Grove training in Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop and Ballet. She was the Artistic Dance Director and Cavette Advisor at American Fork High School where she also taught dance classes, aerobics, social dance, and health. During her time teaching for Alpine School District, Stephanie received the Coach of the Year award. Her team won numerous awards including first time Region Champs. Stephanie’s Dance Company received Superior rating at the High School Dance Festivals. Stephanie has been teaching for the past 25+ years at various studios in Utah County, UVU, BYU, AFHS and Assistant Drill Advisor at PG High School. Along her teaching career, she has choreographed for high school teams, soloists, elementary celebrations, and church events. She is also the director of P.A.L.S – Performing Artist Lengthening their Stride, which is a program for dancers with special needs.
Growing up in West Jordan, Heidi trained in ballet at the Christensen Centre (now The Ballet Centre) in Murray, studied modern with Margene Conde in West Jordan and any other style she could fit into her training schedule. After an injury that interrupted her career goals, Heidi transferred to the Ballet Department at the University of Utah. She then served a mission for her church in Japan. Upon returning, she immediately began teaching. Over her career, she has taught ballet and other styles of dance throughout Utah and Nevada and eventually opened her own private program that grew into a studio academy with 250 students. She raised her kids in the Reno and Tahoe area and moved back to Utah 2020. Heidi has been teaching at various local studios since. Married to Brent Mills, they have 4 children, 1 daughter and 3 sons, one son in law, and one happy adorable little grand baby.

Jaylee grew up dancing at Center Stage Performing Arts where she trained in various styles including Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Tap. In high school she danced on the Lone Peak drill team for three years, serving her last two years as captain. In 2013, Jaylee was the Dance Sterling Scholar for Lone Peak. Jaylee graduated in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and while at BYU she danced on the now 26-time national champion BYU Cougarette dance team. She enjoys teaching at various studios and working with various dance/drill teams throughout Utah. Jaylee is a guest instructor for many dance camps and workshops throughout the west coast. She even had the opportunity to work with a team from Kashiwa, Japan teaching contemporary and technique master classes. Jaylee has taught at TDC since 2013 where she enjoys teaching and directing the Jazz program. In 2022 she became certified in MuvMethod, a conditioning program for dancers that specializes in stretching made safe, simple, and effective. She has enjoyed incorporating this into our curriculum at TDC to enhance our approach to improving flexibility and alignment. Jaylee loves working with dancers of all ages, teaching and encouraging them through her passion for dance.
Julie received a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah where she also performed and toured with the Performing Dance Company. She was the recipient of the Elizabeth R. Hayes 4 year, full tuition scholarship as well as the prestigious Dee Winterton Award. In 1994, she was the recipient of the first ever Dance Sterling Scholar for the state of Utah. Julie danced professionally with Contemporary DanceWorks, as well as choreographed and performed for the Wasatch Dance Collective. She also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Julie has taught as adjunct faculty in the modern dance department at UVSC, and was the Dance Specialist for Wasatch Elementary. She has also taught at various dance studios throughout Salt Lake and Utah County, and has choreographed for many high school dance companies throughout Utah. She is now the dance teach at American Fork High School.
Abby did all of her dance training here at TDC. After graduating she attended Weber State University on a dance scholarship. The following year Abby transferred to Utah Valley University on a ballet scholarship and joined Repertory Ballet Ensemble, RBE. She switched her major to Modern/Contemporary and joined Synergy Dance Company at UVU where she was able to work with SALT contemporary dance company (again as she was able to perform with them in their annual “PAN” performances in 2019). This same year she also joined a community ballet company, Utah Valley Civic Ballet, where Abby was able to perform multiple solos en pointe, including the Canary Fairy. After receiving her Associates in Dance and another dance scholarship, Abby was able to join Synergy for a second year and had the opportunity to choreograph for the company. This choreography was accepted to go to the American College Dance Association, ACDA (a national dance conference). Along with having her choreography recognized she was able to perform and participate in a dance exchange with the NYC Gibney dance company hosted at UVU. Abby will be going into her last year at college to complete her Bachelors Degree in Modern Dance on dance scholarship and a member of UVU’s Contemporary Dance Ensemble, CDE. She can’t wait to continue to inspire and help dancers grow in this artform.
Ashley Carlsen started dancing ballet at the age of four. She received the majority of her training from Sheryl Rowland with Kingwood Dance Theatre. She danced various roles in the Nutcracker such as the Snow Queen, Clara and the Dew Drop Fairy. While dancing with this Honor Status Company, she traveled and performed in different states for Regional Dance America festivals. She attended summer workshops for Austin Ballet and American Ballet Theater. Once graduating from high school Ashley attended Brigham Young University. As a freshman she made the Ballet Showcase Company, which was under the direction of Shani Robison. While dancing with the company they traveled to Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Wyoming performing the Snow Queen. Ashley graduated in 2006 with a degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development. Ashley has over 20 years of dance teaching experience with seven of those years here at TDC! Her goal as a ballet instructor is to teach students the correct technique in an exciting environment! She loves cultivating and encouraging her student’s desire and excitement for the art of ballet. Ashley currently resides in Eagle Mountain with her husband and four children.
Ashley Parov began her early ballet training with Zola Dishong and Richard Cammack at the Contra Costa Ballet Centre in Walnut Creek, California. At age 13, she was accepted on full scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School (SFBS), where she trained under the direction of Lola DeAvila, Gloria Govrin, Sandra Jennings, Pascale LeRoy, Shannon Breshnahan, Jocelyn Vollmar, and Irina Jacobson. While at SFBS, she performed extensively with the San Francisco Ballet in supernumerary, apprentice, and corps de ballet roles. At 16, she was invited to join the company on its summer tour to London and Spain, where she performed in Swan Lake, choreographed by Helgi Tomasson. Upon returning from the tour, she officially joined the company as an apprentice and later advanced to the corps de ballet.
Ms. Parov earned a BA in Dance from Brigham Young University and later returned to the San Francisco Bay Area to perform with Charles Anderson’s Company C Contemporary Ballet. During her time with Company C, she danced leading roles in works by Twyla Tharp, David Parsons, Charles Anderson, Val Caniparoli, Michael Smuin, Lar Lubovitch, and Amy Seiwert. In 2016, she completed her MFA in Dance with honors from Saint Mary’s College of California.
Ms. Parov currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Dance at Brigham Young University, where she teaches upper-level technique, ballet pedagogy, pas de deux, variations, Pilates reformer, and kinesiology for dancers. She holds teaching certifications from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, American Ballet Theatre, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and the 4Pointe Method. A certified Pilates instructor, she has also trained in Ortho-Bionomy, a hands-on manual therapy approach that supports the body’s natural healing processes.
While directing BYU’s top-tier performing company, Theatre Ballet, Ms. Parov has helped lead the ballet program to national and international recognition. These accolades were achieved in collaboration with Professor Shayla Bott and Assistant Professor Brooke Storheim. Highlights include an invitation to perform at the Gerald Arpino Centennial Celebration in Chicago, Illinois, in 2023 (with Professor Bott), and with the English National Ballet School in London, UK, in 2025 (with Professor Storheim).
Ms. Parov’s academic research, conducted in collaboration with Professors Shayla Bott and Brenda Critchfield, has been presented at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) and CORPS de Ballet International.
Ashlyn began dancing at the age of four at the Academy of Ballet. In 2013, she transferred to TDC, where she trained for 11 years in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Over the years, Ashlyn has performed memorable roles such as Ping in The Empty Pot, Jane in Mary Poppins, the Night Sky in All the World and the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove High School Dance Company and has danced as a guest performer in Utah Valley University's Repertory Ballet Ensemble and at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Ashlyn is currently attending Brigham Young University, where she dances with The Dance Ensemble, a contemporary company focused on student choreography, and is studying Human Development. She is excited to share her love for dance with young dancers and is passionate about helping them grow not only in their technique, but also in developing strong habits that support success in both dance and life.
Candace received her BFA in Ballet with Honors from Utah Valley University in 2012. She attended UVU on a full-tuition scholarship. While at UVU, she completed a senior thesis that explored different aspects of collegiate dance training and proposed possible improvements on current training. She also danced with UVU’s Repertory Ballet Ensemble.
Candace has taught in after-school programs, at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, and has done guest choreography, adjudication, and teaching for local companies and public schools. She was also a finalist in Utah Metropolitan Ballet’s Choreography Design Competition. Candace is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and loves continuing to learn more about dance and pedagogy - always wanting to improve as a teacher. She is the author of Be the Dance Teacher They Remember - a book written for dance teachers. She especially loves the dancers and faculty at TDC and considers it “home”. Candace and her husband Chandler have four children.
Eleanor is originally from South Jordan, Ut and started dancing when she was twelve years old. She grew up training in various styles including contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom and tap. Eleanor recently graduated from BYU with a Bachelors of Arts in Dance. While at BYU Eleanor had the opportunity to perform with BYU’s touring contemporary company, Contemporary Dance Theater. While on the company Eleanor was able to perform in Berlin, Prague, New York and Utah as well as work with amazing choreographers and dancers. Eleanor is passionate about dance and has grown a love for teaching and sharing this passion with dancers. She is so excited to be a part of TDC!
Ella received her dance training here at The Dance Conservatory (TDC) where she has trained on pointe since 2016. She is also skilled in modern, contemporary, jazz and hip hop. Ella was awarded the Dance Sterling Scholar for Lone Peak High School (LPHS) in 2024. She was also a member of LPHS's Dance Company for three years. Ella has received scholarships in both ballet and technique at multiple dance conventions. Ella has performed with Brigham Young University's Theater Ballet, UVU's Repertory Ballet Theater, Ririe Woodbury, and multiple performances at Tuacahn and Stadium of Fire ('17 & '22). While training at TDC, Ella has had multiple lead roles including Mary, in Mary Poppins, Alice, in Alice in Wonderland, Pocahontas, the Page, in King Bidgoods in the Bathtub, Ring Master of Ceremony, in Carnival of the Animals, and Ping in The Empty Pot. Ella has also choreographed several pieces for both LPHS and TDC and loves choreography. She has taken multiple classes at Alvin Ailey's studio and Broadway Dance Center in New York City, and amazing master classes at TDC. She is now attending BYU and continues to take dance classes in hopes to expand her dance education. She loves teaching, and loves having the opportunities to share what she loves to do with the dancers at TDC.
Having danced since she was 3, Emily is so excited to teach what she has learned. She has been a member on multiple teams and trained in many areas of dance including jazz, hip hop, ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern and more. Early training from Hi-light Dance Academy helped her explore her artistry and master technique. She became a member of the Lone Peak High School Drill Team where she took part in 3 Region titles and 2 National championships. Emily graduated from BYU with a BS in Exercise and Wellness. After many years of her own dance training, Emily decided that she wanted to share her knowledge and experience by teaching others. She strives to instill passion and heart in young dancers. Emily is married to her best friend and mom to 3 cherub gingers. Along with dance, she loves reading and doing puzzles.
Emma Belnap started dancing when she was three years old and has loved it ever since. She trained at three studios including one in Jerusalem before finding the perfect fit at The Dance conservatory. Emma performed in “Copelia”, “The Nutcracker”, and especially enjoyed the role as Wendy in the The Dance Conservatory’s “Peter Pan” during January 2019 concert. She is delighted to be teaching at TDC and loves instilling her love for dance in others.
Emma is from Mesa, Arizona where she grew up training competitively in all styles of dance at Inspire Entertainment. She has been dancing since the age of two! Emma was also a part of Mountain View High School’s varsity pom team for all four years! On the team, she was able to achieve 6 State Championship Titles and 3 National Championship Titles in the pom, jazz, and hip hop categories. She is entering her 3rd on Continuum, a pre-professional dance company for adults in Utah County. She is so grateful for the opportunities the company presents, and to continue her passion for dance at a pre pro level! She also recently received her Master Aesthetician license and has been practicing in a Medical Spa, and is super excited to further her education by attending nursing school in January! She loves teaching technique, jazz, tumbling, and hip hop here at The Dance Conservatory!
Hailey is from Mesa, Arizona where she grew up training in studio dance for all styles since the age of 3. In high school she was a member, and eventually captain of the Mountain View Toro Varsity Pom Team for all 4 years! She absolutely loved being apart of this team while bringing home 6 winning state titles along with several national titles! After graduating, Hailey became a member of Continuum, a pre-professional dance company here in Utah County. She absolutely loves being apart of this company, and is so grateful to have the opportunity continue pursuing her love of dance. Hailey has also recently become an assistant coach for the Lone Peak Drill Team starting this 2023 season - she can’t wait! Hailey loves her journey of continuing to grow, teach, and coach! She can’t wait to see where it takes her as she grows her connections in the dance world!
Hannah has loved dance since she began dancing at three-years-old. She trained in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz, but found her love for Modern dance at The Dance Conservatory. Hannah performed a duet in “Pocahontas” as Pocahontas’s Mother, and the Butterfly solo in “Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters”. She is currently studying at BYU and is thrilled to be helping students develop a love for dance.
Jenessa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Modern Dance from University of Utah. In 2008 she won the award for State Sterling Scholar in Dance. She was the Artistic Dance Director, Aerobic Instructor and Dance Teacher at Willowcreek Middle School from 2014 to 2019. Here she choreographed for 5 musicals, ran 12 concerts, and choreographed over 70 dances in her time at Willowcreek. Jenessa has been teaching and choreographing dance for the past 14 years in various studios and in various schools. She was a member of U of U’s Performing Dance Company for 5 seasons, ran the Student Concerts for the Department of Modern dance during 2010, and performed in various other venues in and outside of the University. She is a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). Jenessa loves dance, it brings joy to her soul, and she sees it as a wonderful way in which to practice life. Jenessa is blessed to be a mother of 2 beautiful girls and loves to be a Mommy when she is not dancing. She loves the environment here at TDC and is excited to be a part of the family!
Jennifer is a distinguished ballet professional with over four decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and educator, whose expertise and passion have profoundly shaped the ballet community. She began her dance journey at age 3 and by the age of 13 she was dancing with the Utah Youth Ballet, later renamed Utah Regional Ballet (now Utah Metropolitan Ballet). As one of the inaugural company members to audition for the Pacific Regional Ballet Association—now Regional Dance America—Jennifer performed as a soloist, captivating audiences in leading roles in many original works and classical ballets, including Coppélia, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker. Her performances also extended to prestigious organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Rocky Mountain Ballet.
Jennifer has had the privilege of training and collaborating with esteemed choreographers and instructors, including William Christiansen, Jacqueline Colledge, Connie Burton, Mark Lanham, Derryl Yeager, Matthew Degnan, and Hugh Bigney. These partnerships have enriched her artistry and informed her dynamic approach to choreography and teaching. With 37 years of teaching experience, Jennifer has imparted her expertise at renowned institutions such as Jacqueline’s School of Ballet, Centerstage, Wasatch Ballet Conservatory, Walden School of Liberal Arts, Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, The Pointe Academy, and Lifehouse, among others. Her choreography and restaging of numerous works over the years reflect her deep commitment to preserving and advancing the art of ballet. From 2003 to 2009, she served as Assistant Artistic Director to Connie Burton at Rocky Mountain Ballet, and for six years, she taught at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts, where she not only honed students’ technical skills but also inspired them to surpass their potential through her transformative Unconquerable Spirit seminar. This seminar, rooted in her belief in resilience and determination, draws parallels to the discipline and perseverance required in ballet, empowering students to overcome challenges in both dance and life.
As an educator, Jennifer is driven by a profound desire to inspire, offer hope, and foster growth. She finds immense fulfillment in witnessing her students’ technical and personal progress, guiding them to discover their inner strength and artistry. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes encouragement and motivation, creating an environment where dancers of all ages thrive. In addition to her ballet career, Jennifer has taught Pilates at Pilates Revolution and for eight years online, enhancing her understanding of movement and body mechanics, which she integrates into her ballet instruction. She is currently authoring a book to provide hope and encouragement to those facing challenging circumstances, further extending her mission to uplift others.
Jessica is originally from Mesa, Arizona and has been dancing her whole life. Jessica's mother was a professional dancer and her very first teacher, which is how she fell in love with it all.
She danced competitively throughout junior high and high school and was four-year member of the Pom team at Mountain View High School, where we won 4 state titles and 3 national championships. After high school, she went on to dance for two years on the Weber State University dance team and has continued dancing and teaching throughout the state.

Jessica is from Alpine, Utah and started her ballet training with Jacqueline Colledge and danced as a principal dancer in Utah Regional Ballet (now Utah Metropolitan Ballet) in many roles including the Sugarplum Fairy in “The Nutcracker”, Uconogos in “The Legend of Timpanogos”, and Cinderella in “Cinderella”.
She attended a Juilliard summer session training with many talented classical and modern teachers. Over her years of training, she worked with notable teachers such as Violette Verdy, Benjamin Harkarvy, Maria Grandy, Alan Hineline, Ron Cunningham, and most especially with Jacqueline Colledge.
After serving a mission to São Paulo, Brazil, she continued her training at BYU while finishing her education dancing with Theatre Ballet while also teaching adjunct for Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University.
She has taught at many studios over the last 20 years, inside and outside of Utah as her family moved frequently around the nation. She has taught hundreds of students and choreographed works along the way. Most recently, she oversaw the creation of two full length ballets, The Wizard of Oz and Snow White. Kallie Hatch Owens is from Lehi, Utah. She grew up training in competition Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Ballet, as well as participating in Hot Shots Dance Studio’s annual Nutcracker for 13 years. In 2014 & 2015 she was the Snow Queen, in 2016 she was the Sugar Plum Fairy, and in 2017 she was the Waltz Queen. She has won many scholarship awards from dance conventions such as, Tremaine, JUMP, LADM, and 24/7. She has also participated in the Ballet West Nutcracker. She has performed in the Utah Jazz halftime show. She was on Lehi Dance Company in high school where she served as President, Choreographer, and Publicity Rep. She was also Lehi High School's Dance Sterling Scholar. Kallie recently graduated from BYU with a BFA in dance, having an emphasis on ballet. While at BYU, Kallie was a part of the top performing ballet company, Theatre Ballet. On the company, she performed in Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, Paquita, George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht and Serenade as one of the Russian girls, and Gerald Arpino’s Reflections in the lead pas de deux, Viva Vivaldi, and Birthday Variations. Kallie is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and in Stott Pilates mat and reformer. Kallie loves teaching, choreographing, and performing. She loves to share her passion for dance.
Krisann began danceing as a child. The majority of her training was completed with The College of Eastern Utah’s Ballet Repretoire and Castle Country Classical Ballet School. Additional training came through multiple master’s classes and summer intensives including those held at Utah State University and Brigham Young University. Art being her other passion, she completed a degree in Fashion Design and Illustration in Long Beach, California. Once back in Utah, she was soon drawn back to the world of dance. Krisann began teaching for TDC in 2007 and has since attended a teacher training on Ballet Pedagogy taught by Maria Vegh. She is committed to continual learning as she teaches young dancers. Krisann loves to share her deep love of expression through dance with her students.
Maci is originally from Murtaugh, Idaho and began dancing at the age of three. She grew up training in several styles such as contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, musical theater, and hip-hop. She recently graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Dance from BYU, where she was recognized for her leadership abilities and performance skills. While at BYU, she was able to dance with the touring contemporary company, Contemporary Dance Theater, and was able to tour and perform both nationally and internationally. She performed in places such as New York, Arizona, Prague, Paris, Barcelona, and Brussels. She was also able to attend conferences and festivals such as the Breaking Ground Festival, B12, Deltebre Dansa, and the American College Dance Association. She has found a love and passion for teaching and also enjoys continuing to learn as well. She enjoys teaching and choreographing throughout Utah and Idaho and is excited to be a part of TDC!
Mackenzie started formal dance training at 3 years old. She was a member of BYU young dance makers (the performing dance company of BYU children’s and teens creative dance program). She was trained in performance and choreography. In addition, she trained in Ballet with Rocky Mountain Ballet and Academy of Ballet. She danced extensively into her high school years and was the 2004-2005 Sterling Scholar in Dance for Mountain View High School. A graduate of BYU she has also taught in the BYU Children’s and teen creative dance program for 7 years. Mackenzie is excited to be teaching at TDC and is looking forward to help nurture and develop young dancers in creativity and artistry.
Maison trained at Hi-Light Dance Academy for 12 years where she developed a strong foundation in multiple dance styles such as jazz, lyrical, modern, and hip hop, but ballet always remained her true passion. Over the years, Maison attended numerous dance competitions and conventions where she had the opportunity to learn from a wide range of teachers and choreographers. She has performed in the ballet productions of "Hansel and Gretel" and "Alice in Wonderland," and was a member of the American Fork Drill Team. During the past four years, while Maison has been teaching ballet, she assisted in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) classes and took a yoga course which she integrates into her teaching to help students develop flexibility, body awareness, and mental focus. She is so excited to share her love of ballet with the students at TDC!
Nicole began training at the Utah Dance Arts Center in Sandy, Utah under Christy McQuaid (2001-2013). She then went on to pursue her education at the University of Utah after receiving a scholarship to the school. Graduating with her BFA in Ballet with an emphasis in teaching, she had extensive classes in pedagogy, kinesiology, nutrition, music for dancers, child development and psychology, and choreography. She also had many performing opportunities such as Coppelia, Via Con Me, Bayadere Act II, and other student choreographed pieces (2013-2018). Nicole found a true love and passion for teaching and helping students receive training that would help keep her dancer’s bodies young and healthy, as well as finding their own passion for ballet. Upon graduating Nicole felt the desire to travel and explore what the rest of the world had to offer with dance, so she packed up and left for China to teach English and Ballet for five months (2017). There Nicole fell in love with the culture (and food); and learned many important things as a teacher. There she realized ballet truly is a universal language. After returning to Utah for a few years, and teaching ballet again, the itch to travel returned. Nicole packed up once again to live in South Korea, where she taught English for a year (2019-2020). Through all her travels and different experiences, one thing has remained clear for Nicole, her love of teaching ballet. Nicole is dedicated to her students’ success and continues to push her student’s to be the best they can be.
Rachel has had a passion for dance her entire life. She began dancing with The Dance Conservatory when she was just 3 years old and loved every second of her dance career there. Throughout the years she participated in many dance classes and companies in school, and enjoyed finding new ways to express her passion for dance while also staying focused on her schooling, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. Some highlights of her dancing career include performing at the Tuacahn Center for the Arts, taking classes in New York from renowned companies such as Alvin Ailey, performing at Stadium of Fire, and having the opportunity to perform as Glinda in TDC's very own "Wizard of Oz". She is now attending Brigham Young University and plans to continue taking dance classes there to further her dance education. Rachel hopes that she can be a light to young dancers at TDC just as her teachers were to her. She hopes to be able to show her students how passionate she is about dance and hopes to instill the same passion in them.
Rachel is currently attending BYU and is studying Experience Design and Management in the Marriot School of Business. Prior to college, she trained for 8 years with Impact Dance in Mesa, Arizona. She was a 3 time caption of a 4 time state championship winning Pom team at Mountain View High School in Arizona and was awarded the “Spirit of Impact” scholarship award her senior year which allowed her to represent her studio in various settings. After graduating high school, Rachel served an 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints in Quito, Ecuador and has returned to teaching where she loves dancing and helping her students progress.
Rachel is from Bluffdale, Utah and trained at Utah Dance Artists in the Conservatory program under the direction Sarah Franco, Cicily Oldham, and Emily Liu. During junior high and high school, Rachel received awards from various local and national competitions, notably the Youth America Grand Prix, as well as acceptance to the World Ballet Competition finals in Florida and a scholarship to the Bolshoi Ballet Academy summer intensive in New York.
Rachel graduated from BYU in summer of 2025 with a BFA in dance, focusing on ballet and choreography. During her time at BYU, Rachel was a member of the Ballet Showcase Company for 1 season and Theatre Ballet for 2 seasons, with the last season spent as its president. She had the opportunity to perform in ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Gerald Arpino’s Italian Suite, and George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht Ballet and Serenade. Rachel also had the opportunity to choreograph and present 3 pieces, one of which was accepted to The Ballet Alliance festival in 2024.
Rachel has been teaching dance for 4 years, with experience in teaching contemporary and jazz, but she specializes in teaching ballet. She received her 4Pointe certification in May of 2024. Rachel loves to teach and strives to create an environment where all her students feel valued and appreciated!
Ryan is from Lehi, Utah and is a Principal Artist with Utah Metropolitan Ballet. He joined Utah Metropolitan Ballet as an Artist in 2020, was promoted to a Solo Artist in 2022, and was promoted to Principal Artist in 2023. Throughout his time with Utah Metropolitan Ballet he has loved performing the roles of The Prince in Snow White, Snow Prince and Waltz of the Flowers pas de deux in Jacqueline Colledge’s Nutcracker, Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as originating The Cowardly Lion in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz! Hatch has loved performing in contemporary works by Alan Hineline, Brittnee Squires, and Heather Gray.
Hatch graduated with his Master's of Fine Arts in Choreography through Jacksonville University in April 2024. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance from Brigham Young University in April 2020. While attending BYU, he danced on full scholarship with BYU Theatre Ballet for 5 years where he served as the student president. While at BYU he performed as the Principal roles in works by Gerald Arpino, George Balanchine, Paul Taylor, and Martha Graham.
Hatch is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and attended the CPYB Teacher Training. At Brigham Young University he is an adjunct faculty member, Ballet Area Outreach Coordinator, and Director of the Ballet Summer Workshop. Hatch loves being apart of the TDC family!”
Savvy is a strong believer that "When you do good, you feel good!" Savvy graduated with High honors from Pleasant Grove High School where she was a dedicated member of the PGHS Drill Team and the PGHS Dance Company for four years where she loved serving as an officer for both. She has been dancing for 16 years, and loves continuing this passion as she now teaches at The Dance Conservatory. After High School Savvy attended Brigham Young University, and Acaydia Spa and School of Aesthetics, where she graduated as a Master Aesthetician. Savvy served as Miss Pleasant Grove 2022 and created a Nonprofit Organization called PROJECT SHINE inspiring youth and children to develop greater self esteem by serving others.
Tawny was one of Stephanie’s first high school dance students! In 2004, Tawny won the Dance Sterling Scholar Award for the state of Utah. She especially enjoys modern, creative, ballet, social, and Irish dance. She continued to dance at Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. In 2012, Tawny danced in the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert while working as a registered nurse and raising a young family. Tawny’s experiences have deepened her lifelong passion for teaching, supporting individual dance language, and cultivating joyful movement expression. She loves teaching at TDC!
Taya Sanches grew up in Utah County dancing at the Dance Conservatory, where she enjoyed all styles, but particularly Ballet. She attended a ballet summer intensive at Ballet West Academy at Thanksgiving Point and then danced at the academy for a year. While there, she performed in Ballet West's annual "Nutcracker" and the academy’s performance of “Snow Maiden”, closely mentored by Jennie Creer-King and Lindsay Folkman. Upon returning to TDC, she danced with PDC in some of her favorite roles such as Pocahontas in "Pocahontas," Aviary in "Carnival of the Animals," and the Cheshire Cat in "Alice in Wonderland." Taya recently returned home from a mission for her church, and is excited to resume dancing at BYU, return to teaching at TDC, and support her students in pursuing their dance aspirations.
Tiffiny has been dancing her whole life and continued dancing into college at BYU. She has done workshops with the University of Utah school of Dance, Ririe Woodbury, and RDT. Tiffiny has been teaching modern dance for over 10 years starting at TDC (2005-2009). The last 6 years she has been teaching at BYU in their Children and Teen’s program. She has also assisted in BYU’s method student training program for future dance teachers. Tiffiny is excited to rejoin the TDC family this year. She loves to help others discover their inner dance spirit and see them grow in their dance abilities.
